    Dear Editor:

This year’s 8th annual Boothbay Lobster Jam was another success thanks to the coaches, players, fans, officials, volunteers and our generous sponsors. The Lobster Jam has become a mainstay for summer girls basketball teams across the state. Our community is recognized as a wonderful host to 15 other teams and their families for this end of season finale.

We could not provide this unique coastal tournament experience without the generous support of our sponsors. Lobster rolls, local jewelry, flavored popcorn, chocolate lobsters and our beautiful community make the Lobster Jam a must for some of the best teams in Maine.

We would like to formally thank the following:

    MVP Sponsor: The First

    All Star Sponsor: LincolnHealth

All Star Sponsor: Barnes Custom Window Treatments

Local lobstermen: Sea Pier (Douglas Carter) – Andy Carter, Bill Hallinan, Earnest Morton, Larry Knapp, Guy Randlett, Douglas Carter, Maynard Brewer, Stan Barter; Bristol Lobster Sales (Dave Bean) – Andy Page, Andy Hawke, Nick Hawke, Dave Bean, Matt Rice, Jon Farnham, Tyler Farnham, Todd Plummer, Ryan Andrews, Ryan Casey, Corey Pottle, Bill Sherburne, Jordan Bean; Robinson’s Wharf (Hugh Thompson) – David Tibbetts, Rich Simmons, Shawn Murray, Jody Murray, Mark Jones, Steven Simmons, Nick Page; Boothbay Lobster Wharf (Philbrick family); Atlantic Edge (Edward Tibbetts); Hazen Smith
