Boothbay Region High School senior Faith Blethen reached a milestone that only eight others had reached in their careers as a Seahawk – 1,000 points – on Thursday, Jan. 10 in BRHS’s Porter Memorial Gymnasium.

Blethen is the fourth BRHS female player to reach the plateau, joining recent teammate Page Brown, as well as Katie Sibley and  Melissa Hodgdon.

Needing 23 points to reach the milestone coming into the game against Madison, Blethen made a three-pointer in the third quarter to eclipse the mark. The Seahawks improved to 9-0 with the 60-24 win over the Bulldogs. Blethen finished with 31 points to lead all scorers.
