Merry K-4 concert

The gymnasium at Boothbay Region Elementary School was abuzz as families and friends of students in grades K-4 settled in for the 14th annual holiday concert, with Santa.

The show opened with Toby LeConte’s students playing holiday favorite “Carol of the Bells." It received enthusiastic applause.

The kindergarten kids sang about everyone’s favorite reindeer “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” followed by the first grade and “All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth” (insert whistling sound here).

Second grade students sang “Must Be Santa” complete with props including two boots, a star, a beard and more.

Third grade students sang a couple tunes, “Deck the Halls” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”

“Where Are You This Christmas” was sung by the fourth grade, quite beautifully. The second grade joined these students for “When Christmas Comes To Town.”

The finale, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” was a sing-a-long with the audience.

The children received candy canes from Santa after the performance. Besides singing for him, a few children even gave Santa a hug!

Bravo, BRES students and accompanists! Thank you for another wonderful show!
