Midcoast Maine in World War II at Lincoln Home

Join us on Monday, Sept. 24, from 3 to 4 p.m. to hear local stories of World War II, "When Maine’s Midcoast Answered the Call.”  Peggy Konitzky will share her recently published book “Midcoast Maine in World War II.”  Peggy describes the lives of everyday folks who “kept the home fires burning” while others went off to fight for America’s freedom. Among the people Peggy interviewed were Calvin and Marjorie Dodge of Damariscotta, William and Judith Sutter of Wiscasset, the late Joan Leslie of Wiscasset, Robert Brochard of Saint John’s Church in Brunswick and Barbara Rumsey of Boothbay.
