Gorham businessman Shawn Moody campaigned in Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor May 30 and finished the day with a “Meet the Candidate” event at The Board Room in downtown Boothbay Harbor. The two local GOP committees invited all candidates appearing on the June primary ballot.
Local candidates Rep. Stephanie Hawke of Boothbay Harbor, Sen. Dana Dow of Waldoboro and District Attorney Jon Liberman of West Bath are all running unopposed for the Republican nominations. Moody, the founder and owner of Moody's Collision, is in a four-way battle for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
