Dear Editor:

It was with surprise and pleasure that I read the article (Out of Our Past, March 14) including a picture of my cousins David and Marion Dash's boat, the Holiday. The description of David and Marion was right on target and brought a chuckle to those who knew them both. They were special people to the Boothbay Harbor region.

I recall eating lobster on their porch just after they acquired the Holiday. Now that their home is gone, giving way to the wonderful public access park that now graces Oak Point, I feel true pride in their legacy. Thanks for the memory.
