Registered dietician to speak at LincolnHealth Diabetes Support Group

Sun, 01/07/2018 - 7:15am

LincolnHealth Registered Dietitian Ann Boe will discuss 2018 nutrition trends and how to cook with whole grains at the Diabetes Support Group meeting on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. The group will meet in the Diabetes Education Room on the third floor of the LincolnHealth - Miles Campus.

Boe will also explain gut bacteria, how it impacts one’s overall well-being, and steps to take to help get healthy gut bacteria. Practical guidelines and tips will be offered.

The LincolnHealth Diabetes Support Group meets every other month on the fourth Thursday to allow participants to share experiences and to know that they do not have to deal with diabetes alone.

The LincolnHealth Diabetes and Nutrition Program provides a range of services to diabetes patients and their families. The program has been accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators for the provision of quality services.
