The Rev. Edward J. Wynne Jr. will lead the service at the Wilson Memorial Chapel on Ocean Point this Sunday, Aug. 19. The service is at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome. Clarissa Brown will be our musician.

Rev. Wynne, a retired clergy member of the Greater New Jersey Conference of The United Methodist Church, made his home in Damariscotta from 1998 to mid-May 2016 with his wife Bonnie and his sister Janet. In mid-May 2016 they moved to an independent living apartment in the Lincoln Home in Newcastle.

Wynne chairs the Spiritual Care Committee on the Miles Campus of Lincoln Health and is trustee emeritus of Drew University, Madison, New Jersey.

Hobbies include watch and clock collecting and amateur radio. Wynne holds a BS in chemical engineering from Northeastern University, an M.Div. from Drew Theological School, and a Ph.D. from New York University.

This past June 23, he and his wife Bonnie celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
