Seahawks track and field still going strong

The Seahawks’ track and field team took on Carrabec, Hall-Dale, Madison and Lisbon high schools at Lisbon on May 13. The Boothbay Region High School boys team took fourth overall with 46 points. The team was edged by Madison which scored 47. The Seahawk girls team also took fourth, with 39 points close behind Hall-Dale which scored 46 points.

Gerald Gagne took third and fifth in the 100m and 200m dashes in 12.24 and 25.91 seconds.

Fox Elder took third in the 800m run in 2:15.33.

Will Perkins, Graham Harris and Nathan Chatterton took first, third and fourth in the 3200m run in 10:29.60, 11:29.90 and 11:44.79.

Quinn Ranta took second and third in the 110m and 300m hurdles in 18.89 and 48.83 seconds. Ranta also took second in the triple jump with 36’6.5”.

Brady Harmon, Nick Morley and Gareth Hodgdon took fifth, 13th and 15th in discus with throws of 83’9”, 66’6.5” and 61’.

Ranta and Morley took fourth and eighth in javelin with throws of 105’10” and 95’.

Morley, Harmon and Hodgdon took seventh, 10th and 14th in shot put with puts of 32’4”, 31’3” and 28’3”.

The Seahawks 4x400m relay team took third in 4:12.41.

Grace Campbell and Kate Wickline went neck and neck in the 1600m run earning first and second place by a difference of 0.01 seconds. Campbell finished in 6:18.80 and Wickline in 6:18.81.

Zada Smith took fourth and third in the 100m and 300m hurdles in 22.07 seconds and 1:09.08.

Riley Sullivan, Emma Hodgdon, Cally Margaret and Cassidy Hicks took second, fourth, 11th and 12th in discus with throws of 64’7.5”, 61’4”, 41’4.5” and 33’3.5”.

Hodgdon took fifth in javelin with a throw of 65’2”

Sullivan, Hodgdon, Margaret and Hicks took fourth, eighth, 12th, and 15th in shot put with puts of 23’2”, 20’4.5”, 18’2.25” and 15’1”.

Ava Schlosser took first in the race walk in 9:51.01.
