Southport charmer part of BRGC Home and Garden Tour

Sun, 06/02/2019 - 7:00am

Charming, enchanting and enticing are words that easily describe this tiny 1920s home that is filled inside and out with interesting and delightful things to see! Most items inside the home have been handmade, carefully restored or lovingly chosen to create a comfy, cozy atmosphere that just seems to say “come sit and enjoy a cup of tea.”

Outside, the gardens, obviously tended with care, are also somewhat carefree in their presentation and invite visitors to meander around so as not to miss anything! On site there is, indeed, a lot to see as a welcoming, albeit chock a block full, antiques shop is aptly named Possibilities in the Shed. Just a stone’s throw from the house and shop is a recently constructed open concept guest house that while thoroughly modern still bespeaks the warm and welcoming personality of its creative owner. By the way, the tiny cottage can be yours for a quiet sojourn as it is a three-season rental!

Tickets for the Home and Garden Tour on July 19 are available as of June 1 and can be purchased in person from the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce located at 192 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538 or directly from Irene Gerny (633-5052) or Pat McMurry (633-7405). Only cash or checks will be accepted for payment.
