Boothbay Railway Village is offering hands-on art and handcraft classes throughout the year as an extension of the museum’s Artisan Days program. Artisan Days celebrates Maine’s craft heritage by bringing contemporary artisans who use traditional methods to the museum to demonstrate their work. Hands-on classes are a great opportunity to share in the legacy of Maine craft, learn a new skill, or enhance an artistic passion! Summer class options include blacksmithing, weaving, and soapstone carving. Stay tuned for classes on woodcarving, fiber arts, and more during fall and winter.
