Dear Editor:

As a business owner in the community I would like to speak about articles 3, 4 and 5. I support those articles. I feel that we need financial support for the school and for community assistance programs to help people in need. As these expenses continue to grow we will have to meet those financial responsibilities.

There has been a lot of hard work from the Selectmen and Planning Board members to get on the table a compromise that will benefit all the people in the community. The compromise will take care of the working waterfront and to have reasonable development on the east side but will effect all of Boothbay Harbor. I realize a lot of people don’t like change and I understand that, but we need growth to keep young people in our community and we need thriving businesses to keep growth and prosperity to help pay the bills.
