    Christopher Robin” - Heartwarming nostalgia and pure magic! In "Disney's live action Christopher Robin," the young boy who loved embarking on adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with a band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside. Starring Ewan McGregor as the adult Christopher, and Pooh, Tigger and friends who are full of wisdom, as always.

    Puzzle” - A frustrated suburban housewife (Kelly MacDonald) who has never left her own neighborhood, discovers she has a talent for assembling jigsaw puzzles. After reading an ad for a puzzle contest, she sneaks away from her husband and goes to New York City, where she finds a partner (Irrfan Khan) for a puzzle tournament in Atlantic City. As she experiences independence for the first time, she begins to view her value and the pieces of her own life in a whole new light.

    “Julie” - National Theatre Live -  Featuring Vanessa Kirby (BAFTA Award-winning actress for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in “The Crown”) will be broadcast live on from the National Theatre in London. This new version of August Strindberg’s play Miss Julie, written by Polly Stenham, remains shocking and fiercely relevant in its new setting of contemporary London. Wild and newly single, Julie throws a late-night party. In the kitchen, Jean and Kristina clean up as the celebration heaves above them. Crossing the threshold, Julie initiates a power game with Jean – which rapidly descends into a savage fight for survival in this 90-minute tour de force. (1 hour, 30 minutes) Thursday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets $15/$13/$5. 

    Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” -  In 1979 young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University -- leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she makes the acquaintances of Harry, Bill and Sam -- the latter whom she falls in love with, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's pregnant daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating a taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends and boyfriends on the Greek island of Kalokairi. (PG-13; 1 hour, 54 minutes) Final screening Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. 

    Three Identical Strangers” -  Three strangers are reunited by astonishing coincidence after being born identical triplets, separated at birth, and adopted by three different families. Their jaw-dropping, feel-good story instantly becomes a global sensation complete with fame and celebrity, however, the fairy-tale reunion sets in motion a series of events that unearth an unimaginable secret -- a secret with radical repercussions for us all. (PG-13; 1 hour, 36 minutes) Playing at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, Saturday, Sept. 8, Sunday, Sept. 9, Wednesday, Sept 12 (2 p.m.with captions). 

    Stories to Screen Book Give-AwaySwing by Lincoln Theater as we launch our newest Stories to Screen series with our free book giveaway. We will have 50 free copies available of all four books - “Horton Hears a Who!,” “The Thorax,” “The Cat in the Hat” and “Little Women.” Free movie screenings based on the books start two weeks later. Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m.

    “Maine Coast Harvest” -  Community Film Screening and Discussion - Meet some of the people behind "Maine Coast Harvest" - two new documentary shorts that highlight the environmental benefits, the employment opportunities, and the economic development opportunities presented by Maine's aquaculture industry. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. This is a free event.

    Romeo and Juliet” - Royal Shakespeare Company - What if your first true love was someone you’d been told you must hate? Set in a world very like our own, this Romeo and Juliet is about a generation of young people born into violence and ripped apart by the bitter divisions of their parents. The most famous story of love at first sight explodes with intense passion and an irresistible desire for change but leads all too quickly to heartbreaking consequences. (2 hours, 45 minutes including one 20-minute intermission) Thursday, Sept. 13 at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tickets $15/$13/$5. 

    Behind the Scenes of the PBS NewsHour” - News media challenges in 2018. An evening with Executive Producer Sara Just. As patterns of media consumption have changed for so many of us in our lives, so too has the process of reporting and producing the news on television. In her remarks, Sara will outline a typical day at the PBS NewsHour and will explore how the media landscape has changed, in both positive and negative ways. Thursday, Sept 13 at 7 p.m. A free event.
