Trevett Column: It’s luau time

Tue, 08/07/2018 - 11:30am

It’s luau time. Get out the grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and show up at the BICA hall at 6 p.m. on Aug. 15. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided so Evelyn and Marsha are asking you to bring an appetizer, side dish or a dessert to share. Coffee and water will be available or you may bring your own beverage. The men’s cooking team, under the direction of Bill, is all set to light up the grills.

July’s potluck was a fun evening hosted by the Spofford Lane folks. They are always great hosts. The food table was covered from end to end so no one went hungry.

We had lots of regulars, lots of guests and some new residents at the potluck. We hope they return for future evenings of good socializing and great food. As you know, guests are welcome and appreciated. Just remember to bring extra for feeding the gang.

The president’s annual news letter reporting the year’s activities should be arriving in your mailbox soon.
