Wake up! The Early Bird Sale & Pajama Party is Saturday!

And, believe it or not, it’s the 30th annual!
Wed, 11/14/2018 - 10:30am

If it’s November, it’s Early Bird sales season. Early bird shoppers have flown to Bath, Wiscasset and Damariscotta this month and on Saturday, Nov. 17 they will be flocking to the Boothbay region for its 30th annual Early Bird Sale & Pajama Party! Yes, 30th! Can you believe it?

Shoppers will stumble out of bed before the crack of dawn because by now everyone knows the best sales are to be had before sunrise; fumble with coffee pots, throw a bathrobe over their jammies, pour that first cup o’ Joe, and race to the car, start it up and head for the Boothbay region for some serious shopping.

The pajama party aspect of this event really makes it joyful. Seeing friends, neighbors and family in their fave flannel and polar fleece jams ... and the slippers! The slippers are always awesome – from bird, duck and piglet heads and faces to elfin footware and Birkenstocks paired with novelty socks ... gotta love it.

Yes, the array of PJ’s – from one-piece Union suits, nightgowns and two piecers – just adds to the fun and excitement of the Early Bird experience that begins between 5 and 6 a.m., depending on where you’re bound first. And, yes. It will be dark.

Check out some of the exciting deals and discounts that await ... the complete list of businesses participating in the 30th annual event can be found in section B of the paper, or by clicking here. Bearing that in mind ...
