The Whale’s Tale and Seafarer’s Pub in Boothbay Harbor, under the management of Jax van der Veen and Evan Hepburn, will be hosting its first community fundraising Thanksgiving Dinner benefit. On Nov. 23, from noon to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, they will serve a traditional dinner with all the fixings, and all the proceeds will benefit the Community Resource Council's eight programs.

According to Jax van der Veen, the traditional style meal will include roast turkey and all the fixings, including dessert.

Both Jax and Evan are grateful for the support they have received after their second successful season in business. Jax van der Veen said, “We are excited to welcome everyone in the spirit of community and connectedness on this Thanksgiving holiday. We want to bring everyone together to support the work and mission of the Community Resource Council for all they do to help our neighbors in need. We hope you will come show your support for this community on this special day of the year to give thanks and show gratitude for our many blessings — Thanksgiving Day.”
