The Boothbay Region YMCA Y Arts Fall Dance Classes held their December performances on Sunday, Dec. 16 in a packed Boothbay Harbor Opera House. Performances included Preschool-intermediate Tap/Jazz, Preschool-High School Ballet, and the Teen Contemporary Class.

The 10 performances, all set to holiday tunes, were capped by a solo performance of instructor Melissa Nein who bids farewell to dance for a full-time career at Linekin Bay Resorts.

Going out in style, Nein’s performance wrapped up by inviting the contemporary dance class to the stage to finish the evening off with a can-can.

The Y Arts Dance Program will continue in the new year under Stephanie Salmi, Katherine Tolley, Kayleigh Tolley and Emily Mirabile.
