The Boothbay Region High School Class of 2019 held the Junior Class Winter Carnival on Tuesday, Jan 30, also Family Night, in efforts to raise money for various student activities in the coming months and for the next year.

"This is a fundraiser for our junior class that will ... be put towards graduation and all the costs for that," said Riley Sullivan. "We’re doing it tonight on Family Night to hopefully get a bunch of people to turn up."

Activities included relay races with roller boards and hula hoops, a bean bag toss, ring and bottle, face painting, shooting hoops, and more. Pizza and popcorn were provided at no extra charge.

"Hopefully we’ll be able to raise a significant amount of money for our class to put toward our next fundraiser which will be Junior Prom," said Sullivan. "We're just working toward making a little money before our senior year!"
