Art Tours 2017
Summer in Maine is prime time for art walks — leisurely expeditions into the worlds of fantasy, realism and the
abstract as interpreted by you. Make like Mary Poppins and ‘enter’ as many works of art as you can!
Through paintings, drawings, sculpture, woodblock, pottery, photography on canvas, paper, board or wood using
acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, graphite, charcoal, clay, rock, tree and a variety of other mediums ...
Take as many walks on the creative side as you can — in the Boothbay region, Wiscasset, Newcastle/Damariscotta and beyond ...

The Twin Villages Art Tour of Newcastle and Damariscotta are held the third Friday June through September from 4-7 p.m. It is a self guided walking and driving tour - just keep an eye out for the YELLOW flags! The tour was created to increase community awareness of diverse local art, make shows more inviting to the general public, and foster the creative economy.
The Art Tour is organized by an informal coalition of art connoisseurs, business owners, and nonprofit leaders, and has an eclectic range of participants. The villages invite the local community and visitors to enjoy the galleries, artists and artisans, musicians, specialty shops, and restaurants, as well as spectacular river views.
For more information about participating in Damariscotta-Newcastle Art Walk as an artist or performer, please contact event coordinators Kathleen Horst, kathleenmhorst@gmail.com,, Kim Traina at jumpstartcreative@gmail.com, or Jill Rice at 207-563-1735.
